Crowd Turns Out for Tufts Community Day

Well over 1,000 people turned out for Tufts University’s eighth annual Community Day on Sunday afternoon. Tufts opened its campus to local residents, who enjoyed a free lunch, candy apples, hot cider, music, entertainment, pumpkin decorating, and face painting, among other activities. Local organizations such as the Rotary Club, Medford Historical Society, and Medford Family Network also participated in the event.

Tufts’ mascot, Jumbo, is always a crowd-pleaser with children.

The Medford Fire Department taught children about fire safety and prevention in their “smoke house.”
