State Ethics Commission Investigating; Sheriff DiPaola Denies Connection to Pension Flap

The Middlesex Sheriff’s Office is under investigation by the State Ethics Commission, according to Boston.com. Sheriff Jim DiPaola says the investigation has nothing to do with his resignation following his attempt to retire and collect both his salary and pension simultaneously. According to the story, the investigation will focus on whether sheriff’s office employees raised money for DiPaola’s political committee.
