Medford, Malden Break Bread Before Big Game

Members of the Medford and Malden football programs continued the tradition of having lunching together before the annual Thanksgiving classic.

Head Coach Rico Dello Iacono, Athletic Director Bob Maloney, and Mustang football captains Alec Finn and Nick Murphy joined their Malden counterparts, including Head Coach Joe Pappagallo, Athletic Director Dan Keefe, and Principal Dana Brown, at John Brewer’s Tavern in Malden. This is the third year the restaurant, owned by Medford resident and MHS graduate Bill Honeycutt, has generously sponsored the lunch.

The 123-year-old rivalry is the third oldest high school rivalry in the country.
