School Committee Starts 2011 Off with Meetings

Scarpelli, Falco Selected as Vice Chair, Secretary

On Monday, January 10, the Committee met just before their regular 7pm meeting to discuss 2011 leadership. Veterans Paulette Van der Kloot and Ann Marie Cugno, who served as Vice Chair and Secretary, respectively, in 2010, handed over the reins to George Scarpelli and John Falco.

The Vice Chair is in charge in place of Chair Mayor Michael McGlynn and the Secretary takes meeting notes and signs off on school department bills.

The regular meeting will be replayed on Channel 15 at 7pm Wednesday.

On Wednesday, January 12 the support services sub-committee, consisting of Cugno, John Falco, and George Scarpelli, was scheduled to meet at 7PM in the Superintendent’s Conference Room at Medford High School to discuss the status of the Food Service program and Medford Community Schools. That meeting has been postponed due to the snow storm.
