Boys Hockey Team Clinches GBL Title

The boys varsity hockey team clinched the Greater Boston League title on Monday night.

Brian Enos and Tyler Zizzo combined for two goals and three assists in Medford’s 4-1 victory over Somerville.

The Mustangs have also earned an automatic state tourney bid.

Medford is 6-6-1 overall and is 5-1 in the GBL.

The team, in its second season under Head Coach Steve DeBenedictis, also won the GBL title last year and qualified for the state tournament.

Medford hosts St. Peter-Marian on Wednesday at 7pm and heads to Watertown on Saturday.
