‘Rebels at Riverbend Park’ in October

2nd Annual Colonial Re-Enactment in Medford

“The First Patriots: Rebels at Riverbend Park” will occur again on October 1 through October 2, 2011. The purpose of the event is to tell the story of life in 18th century Medford, in particular during the Siege of Boston, April 19 1775 through March 17, 1776. There will be military drills, fife and drum music, colonial school, craft demonstrations, and more. Last year was a success and organizers plan on expanding it this fall. Organizer Ryan Hayward said he’s looking for participants (not re-enactors) to join such as local artists, organizations and individuals who could set up educational booths or sell goods.
