Lady Cougars Win State Championship
|D2 Girls Basketball Title First in Team History
For the first time in school history, Arlington Catholic’s girls varsity basketball team won a state championship. On Saturday, March 19 the Lady Cougars soundly defeated Millbury, 49-28 at the DCU Center in Worcester to capture the MIAA Division 2 title. The team was led by Emma Roberson’s sixteen points and seven rebounds while senior guard Erin Nee chipped in points and four rebounds.
The Cougars finished the regular season with a 15-6 record and defeated Lynn Classical, Arlington, North Andover, Gloucester, and Hopkinton before the championship game. The team is coached by Dave Brady.
