Tufts Bikes Debuts April 1
|Student Organization to Provide Free Bikes to Tufts Community
Tufts University student organization Tufts Bikes will be launching their bike share program with an opening celebration from 4 to 6pm on Friday, April 1st on the Tufts Campus in Medford. The opening celebration will feature free food, entertainment, raffles, local bike companies, bike advocacy organizations, rides around campus for all ages and abilities, and a speech by University President Lawrence Bacow.
Tufts Bikes is a student run organization involved in encouraging and promoting the use of bicycles and bike culture. In addition to offering 30 bikes for free daily rental to Tufts students and faculty, the group also offers repair and maintenance services through their bike shop, hosts seminars on safe riding in cities, and organizes bicycle rides in the Boston/Medford/Sommerville area.
