Girls Lacrosse Team 3-0; 1st in History of Program

For the first time in program history, the girls varsity lacrosse team has started off the season with three wins and no losses.
The team’s latest victory was over Greater Boston League rival Malden on Tuesday. The Mustangs defeated the Golden Tornadoes in enemy territory 14-6.
Olivia Timmins “again continued her domination,” scoring five goals and racking up one assist, according to Head Coach Matt Galusi. In three games Timmins so far has scored fourteen goals and added four assists.
Madie Forcier, “Robin to Olivia’s Batman,” added two goals and three assists, Michaela Botticelli, Lydia Regan, and Katie O’Brien each scored a goal, Lee Williams contributed two goals, and Katherine Timmins had two goals and one assist. Alana Viveiros added two assists and “kept feeding everybody” and was “integral in the flow of the offensive attack,” said Coach Galusi.
“It was a good win by the team,” said Coach Galusi.
Next on the Mustangs’ schedule is a trip to Cambridge on Thursday. Over April vacation next week Medford heads to Central Catholic on Tuesday, Haverhill on Thursday, Watertown on Friday, and hosts North Reading on Saturday at 10AM.
