Mustang Baseball Starts Strong with 4 Wins

In the first week of the season the Mustang varsity baseball team has four wins under its belt with victories over Matignon, Winchester, Waltham, and Stoneham. On Friday Medford defeated Stoneham on-the-road 3-1, with senior Dan Gilchrist (pictured above) leading the team on the mound with eleven K’s and Chris Hayes leading the offensive attack with two RBI’s. Gilchrist improved his record to 2-0 while the team is currently 4-0. The JV baseball team also defeated Stoneham on Friday, winning 14-4.

Over April vacation the Mustangs head to Malden for a 10AM game on Tuesday, April 19; host Matignon on Wednesday, April 20, at 10AM; and host Framingham on Saturday, April 23 at 12PM.
