Girls Lax Wins on the Road Against Shawsheen

The girls varsity lacrosse team improved their record to 8-1 with a 13-8 victory at Shawsheen on Wednesday.

Olivia Timmins and Madie Forcier contributed four goals each, while Katherine Timmins dropped three goals. Katie O’Brien and Sophie Karon each added a goal.

Medford is currently 2-0 in the Greater Boston League heading into Thursday’s game against Malden. The Malden game is important not only because a win could pretty much guarantee a GBL championship, but also because the Mustangs are holding a fundraising event for breast cancer research. Thursday’s “Pink-Out” game will be held at 6:00PM on the turf behind Medford High and all are welcome to attend and enjoy free food, music, face painting, and more, with of the proceeds will going to the Susan G. Komen Fund for breast cancer research.
