Grace Church Organizes Park Clean-ups

Grace Church, with help from the Medford community, is organizing its second annual series of Medford park and open space cleanups this spring.

Volunteers will be at Carr Park on Saturday, May 7 from 1-3PM to pick up trash and recycling, rake leaves and possibly paint and make repairs.

Helpers of all ages are welcome and encouraged to come and are encouraged to bring garden/work gloves.

Other scheduled clean-ups include:

May 14th – 9AM-12PM Wrights Pond
May 14th – Brooks Estate
June 4th – 10AM-12PM Barry Park
August 27th – Tufts Park

Last spring Grace Church partnered with the City of Medford, Friends of the Mystic River, Brooks Estate Land Trust, and Friends of Wright’s Pond to coordinate community cleanups in seven parks and public spaces throughout the city. Over six weekends more than 250 people throughout the community helped to pick up trash, paint tables and benches, rake leaves, and spread mulch and sand to spruce up Medford’s public spaces.
