Medford Resident to Perform Live at Best Buy Saturday

Talented local musician and Medford native Michael Maloney has been selected to participate in Best Buy’s nation-wide live music program that features local talent.

Maloney will perform on Saturday, June 18 at 3:00PM at the Best Buy located at 360 Newbury Street as part “Live A Best Buy.” According to Maloney, he will be performing all original material with Laura Brogan on drums and guest singer Nelia Miller. The performance is free and open to the public and can also be watched live online.

The 2008 Medford High School graduate is a rising senior at UMass Boston, where he is in the Honors Program and is pursuing a double major in Music and Health Science. Maloney co-founded and teaches an a capella club, Sea Sharps, and will be teaching a songwriting and singing workshop for high school students through Citi Performing Arts Center this summer. He recently accompanied Spotlight Production’s Wizard of Oz at MHS in early June.
