No Bridge Construction 4th of July Weekend
|Lane Closures, Delays Still Anticipated

I-93 construction activities to prepare for the replacement of fourteen deteriorated bridge superstructures in Medford this summer continues next week.
Due to the upcoming holiday, there will be no weekend bridge replacement work between Friday, July 1st and Monday July 4th.
The following work activities and related lane closures are scheduled to occur:
Route I-93 Northbound
– Double left lane closures between Exit 29 (Routes 28/38) and Exit 33 (Route 28) on Monday, June 27 through Thursday, June 30 between 8 PM and 5 AM.
– Alternating single right or left lane closure between Exit 29 (Routes 28/38) and Exit 33 (Route 28) on Monday, June 27 through Thursday, June 30 between 9 AM and 2 PM.
Route I-93 Southbound
– Alternating single right or left lane closure between Exit 33 (Route 28) and Exit 31 (Route 38) on Monday, June 27 through Thursday, June 30 between 10 AM and 3 PM.
Salem Street/Route 60 (East and West)
– Single lane or shoulder closures on Monday, June 27 through Thursday, June 30 between 7 AM and 5 PM. Provisions for pedestrian access will be maintained.
Route 16
– Single lane or shoulder closures on Monday, June 27 through Thursday, June 30 between 7 AM and 5 PM. Provisions for pedestrian access will be maintained.
Valley Street/Fellsway
– Single lane or shoulder closures on Monday, June 27 through Wednesday, June 29 between 7 AM and 5 PM and on Monday, June 27 between 9 PM and 5 AM. Provisions for pedestrian access will be maintained.
Mystic River
– Barge placement and periodic movement within the Mystic River will reduce the navigable channel on Monday, June 27 through Friday, July 1.
Webster Street
– Single lane or shoulder closures on Monday, June 27 through Friday, July 1 between 7 AM and 5 PM. Webster Street eastbound traffic will be detoured during these work periods. Provisions for pedestrian access will be maintained.
MassDOT encourages drivers and marine traffic to allow extra time for their trips and to reduce speed and use caution when travelling through or adjacent to all work zones.
