Duffy, Covelle Selected to Legion All-Star Team

Pat Duffy and Paul Covelle, members of the Medford Post 45 American Legion baseball team, have been selected to the District 5 (Middlesex County) American Legion All-Star team, according to Coach Ryan Kozul.

They will be playing on July 4 at 7pm at Alumni Field in Lowell against the All-Star team from District 8 (Essex County).

Duffy attends Medford High School and Covelle attends Malden Catholic. Both are members of their schools’ baseball teams.

The game is a showcase for college recruiters and features the best rising high school seniors in both leagues, said Kozul.

Local baseball fans can catch Duffy, Covelle, and other talented Medford kids on the Legion team this summer. The season is winding down but there are still several home games. Medford hosts Wakefield on Thursday, July 7 at 5:45PM; Ashland on Saturday, July 9 at 11AM; Lexington on Sunday, July 10 at 1:30PM; Natick on Tuesday, July 12 at 5:45PM, and Somerville on Wednesday, July 13 at 5:45PM. All home games are at Playstead Park.
