Summerfest at Springstep on Sunday, August 21
|Dance and Fitness Classes, Art Demos, Activities, and more!
On August 21st, Springstep will host its first ever Summerfest, an event for people of all ages interested in dance, fitness, art, crafts, and music. From Hip Hop to Hoop Dancing, Belly Dance to Bollywood, Salsa to Swing, attendees will have the opportunity to sample over 15 different classes in this fun, festive preview of Springstep’s fall class session. Kids are invited to take part in a Creative Dance class, a Music Together sing-a-long, or to make something in the Craft Corner while parents try their hand –and feet—at the class of their choice.
During this indoor/outdoor event, Summerfest attendees can also view a variety of art demonstrations, try on dance shoes with Danstuff Dancewear, enjoy refreshing food and drink, or take a relaxing stroll through Springstep’s art gallery. The event will also feature a sneak peek at Springstep’s first ever flashmob before it strikes again at various fall festivals around town.
Festival participants will be eligible for deals on fall classes and memberships. The festivities will take place rain or shine from 1:00pm – 5:30pm at Springstep, located at 98 George P. Hassett Drive in Medford. There is a suggested donation of $5 for adults but kids under the age of 13 are free. For more information, visit www.springstep.org or call 781-395-0402.
