Fall Baseball Transition Program for 12/13-year-olds

Geared for players making the move from the small little league diamond to the 90’ (big) diamond. The program includes two pre-season clinic sessions (Sept 6 & 8)on the full size diamond at Playstead Park coordinated by former Medford High and current Belmont Hill JV coach Vin Macone where players will learn the skills that are not normally taught on little league fields (e.g. leading, pitching from the stretch, etc.). In-house games between other Medford teams with instructional umpiring, as well as inter-city games between Arlington, Somerville and Winchester teams will be played on the weekends from September 10th to about October 16th (1 game each on Saturdays & Sundays). The $60 registration fee includes the 2 clinic sessions (Sept 6 & 8), 10 – 12 games, uniform shirt, hat and socks.

Eligibility: Players must be at least 12 or 13 years old as of April 30, 2011. 14 year olds are eligible on a space available basis.
