Boys Soccer Team Opens Season with Victory

Head Coach Mike Petrides and the varsity boys soccer team earned a decisive 4-1 victory over Head Coach George Scarpelli and the Somerville soccer team on Friday on home turf.

Captain John Dumbuya, Matheus Anastacio, Tom Downs and captain John Pires each contributed a goal in the Mustangs’ win over their arch rival. Somerville might have scored early, but they were unable to get past the Mustang defense for the rest of the game.

The Mustangs host another Greater Boston League opponent, Malden, on Friday afternoon.
