Irish American Club, IIIC Host 9/11 Memorial Event

The Irish International Immigrant Center and the Malden Irish American Club teamed up last weekend for a memorial event on the tenth anniversary of September 11. Several people shared their story of that historic and horrific day, including Ron Gaudette of Massachusetts General Hospital, who spoke about being a first responder at the World Trade Center site. Heavey Quinn Academy of Irish Dance performed a music and dance tribute, and those who attended the event, held at the Irish American Club, were able to contribute a design to a community remembrance quilt.
