Car Crashed into Building on Mystic Avenue

A car crashed into a building in a block of stores on Mystic Avenue Wednesday afternoon.

The car, which appeared to be a black SUV, was pulled out of the store around 5:00PM. According to broadcast reports, police say an elderly male driver and his elderly female passenger suffered minor injuries and were taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. The car swerved into the building, which contained several businesses, and luckily crashed into an empty storefront between Domino’s Pizza and a dry cleaners. The adjoining wall to the dry cleaners suffered damage.

The accident occurred on Mystic Avenue, near the intersection with Bowen Avenue.

Several news helicopters were hovering in the area at the time. It is unclear at this point how the crash happened and what caused the car to swerve into the building.
