Bill Clinton Speaks at Tufts

Former US President Bill Clinton was the featured speaker for the prominent Issam M. Fares Lecture series at Tufts University on Sunday. The 42nd president spoke about the work of his organization, the William J. Clinton Foundation, and said America’s political leaders should spend less time on ideology and more time working together to solve the country’s problems. The Issam M. Fares Lecture series began at Tufts in 1993. Other speakers have included former President George H. W. Bush; former Prime Ministers of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Tony Blair and Margaret Thatcher; former President of France Valery Giscard d’Estaing; Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, then U.S. senator; former Secretaries of State Madeleine Albright, James A.
