MC, Waltham Battle for John Brewer’s Cup

Football team captains and coaches from the Malden Catholic Lancers and the Waltham Hawks celebrated their upcoming Thanksgiving Day match-up with a brunch at John Brewer’s Tavern in Malden on Sunday, November 20.

“Because we have restaurants in both Malden and Waltham, and the two schools play on Thanksgiving Day, we thought that the captains and coaches would enjoy a friendly get together before the big game,” said John Brewer’s Tavern owner Bill Honeycutt.

The wining team will be invited back to the restaurant in their city to celebrate with wings, burgers and steak tips and be presented with the first annual John Brewer’s Tavern Championship Cup, which will remain on display in either Waltham or Malden until next year’s game.
