Medford, Malden Break Bread Before Big Game

Every year since it opened in 2007, John Brewer’s Tavern, owned by Medford resident and former Mustang Bill Honeycutt, hosts the Medford and Malden coaches, captains, and athletic directors for a pre-game meal. The restaurant, located on the Medford/Malden line, is home to a mural memorializing the third oldest high school football rivalry in the country.

This year the 124th Medford/Malden Thanksgiving classic is in Medford. The game is taking place at 10:00am at Hormel Stadium. It’s the last home game of the season and the team’s sixteen seniors will be recognized in a special ceremony before the game.
