New Coach to Lead Boys Lacrosse Team

After three seasons with Mike Engel, the boys varsity lacrosse team will have a new coach when spring sports start up in just a couple of weeks.
Chris Doyle will join the Mustangs as head coach. Doyle is entering his seventh year as a high school lacrosse coach. Doyle was the assistant varsity coach for Wakefield last year, where he helped lead the team to the highest scoring offense in the Middlesex League.
Prior to joining the Wakefield staff he was head varsity lacrosse coach for Burlington for five years. Doyle took Burlington from a two-win team to a state tournament qualifying team.
Doyle has also coached in several lacrosse clinics, helped start a club lacrosse team at UMass Lowell, and served as captain of the Middlesex Community College hockey team.
Last season the 9-5 Mustangs earned an undefeated league title and qualified for the state tournament for the second straight season.
