Police Arrest Medford Man for Domestic Assault

Medford Police caught up to and arrested a man on Thursday for allegedly stabbing his roommate earlier this month.
Police say Christopher Linton, 18, of Sanger Street in Medford, had been staying in Boston to avoid arrest following a May 7 domestic dispute in which he allegedly stabbed another man living in the same apartment. Following an investigation police obtained a warrant for Linton’s arrest.
Authorities caught up to Linton on Thursday afternoon after Medford Police Detective Sergeant Grubb saw him board a bus in South Medford. Police met Linton at Sullivan Station in Charlestown, where he was placed under arrest with the help of Boston Police and Transit Police.
Linton, who had a knife confiscated by police when he was arrested, is being charged with aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Police say the man Linton allegedly stabbed sustained non-life threatening injuries.
I don’t mean to take away from the seriousness of his crime so please forgive me but – Sullivan Station is in Charlestown, hence the Boston Police assistance as opposed to the Somervile Police.
