Girls, Boys Lax Teams Open State Tourney May 30

The Medford Mustang boys and girls varsity lacrosse teams both open up the state tournament on the road on Wednesday, May 30.

The girls, 9-7, are seeded 15th out of sixteen teams in North Division 1. They head to Andover on May 30 for a 6PM game. Andover, seeded 2nd, is 17-3. The winner will head to the quarter final round against Central Catholic (#7, 13-5) or Chelmsford (#10, 13-7) on June 1.

The boys, 14-6, are #23 out of twenty-six teams. They face BC High on May 30 for a 5PM game. BC High, seeded 10th, is 10-8. The winner will play either Westford Academy (#7, 14-4) or Bridgewater-Raynham (26th, 7-11).

No other Greater Boston League teams qualified for the state tournament.

The Lady Cougars of Arlington Catholic, 12-7-1, are at Bishop Fenwick, 11-5-2, on May 29 for the first round of the North Division 2 tourney. The AC boys, 14-5, take on South Shore Tech (12-4) at Belmont Hill on May 29.
