Police Arrest Pair for Bank Robberies

Medford Police have arrested a Medford man in connection with an unarmed bank robbery that took place earlier in the month.
On Friday, June 22 Medford Police and the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force obtained a warrant for the arrest of Shawn Fitzgibbon, 30, of 48 Cummings Street, for an unarmed robbery of Eastern Bank on Monday, June 11. Fitzgibbon was also arrested on Friday, June 15 as an accessory after the fact for an alleged armed robbery of the same bank. Police have also arrested Fitzgibbon’s girlfriend, Gina Muccini, in connection with that robbery.
According to police, Fitzgibbon and Muccini have been arrested for two out of the three robberies that have taken place at Eastern Bank in the past month. The bank is located on Locust Street in the parking lot of Shaw’s, which is not far from Fitzgibbon’s residence.
“We arrested Fitzgibbon for the second robbery and his girlfriend Gina Muccini for the third robbery. The first robbery is still under investigation,” said a statement from Medford Police.
