School Committee to Select New Leadership

During its first meeting of 2013 on Monday, January 7 the Medford School Committee will select new leadership.

The Committee will vote for a new Vice-Chair and Secretary before its regular meeting at 7:00PM.

Mayor Michael McGlynn is the Chair of the School Committee. John Falco and Paulette Van der Kloot are the outgoing Vice-Chair and Secretary, respectively.

According to School Committee Robert E. Skerry, Jr., Falco will be nominated again for Vice-Chair while Skerry will be nominated for Secretary.

During its regular meeting the Committee will receive several reports from School Superintendent Roy Belson, including a financial report and an update on new science labs for the high school and vocational school.

The regular meeting is taking place at 7PM at Medford City Hall. It is broadcast live on cable TV in Medford on Channel 22 (Comcast) and Channel 43 (Verizon).
