Tufts Announces Upcoming Public Concerts
|Tufts University Department of Music presents Mal Barsamian in concert January 27
The Tufts University Department of Music is pleased to announce a performance by faculty member Mal Barsamian, oud, joined by Jay Baronian, percussion, on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 3 p.m. as part of the Sunday at Tufts – Community Concert Series. The performance will take place in the Distler Performance Hall at the Perry and Marty Granoff Music Center. The performance will feature music of the Ottoman Empire and Middle East, featuring works by composers of Armenian, Turkish, and Arab descent.
Tufts University Department of Music presents French and American Connections January 28
The Tufts University Department of Music is pleased to announce a concert titled French and American Connections on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 8 p.m. in the Distler Performance Hall at the Perry and Marty Granoff Music Center. The performance will feature pieces by Barrière, Offenbach, Bach, Gounod, Liszt, Feldman, and Gershwin. Join performance faculty members Pascale Delache-Feldman, double bass, and Emmanuel Feldman, cello, for a Franco/American musical journey narrated by the performers.
Tufts University Department of Music presents Zodiac Trio: New Works January 29
The Tufts University Department of Music is pleased to announce a performance by the Paris, France based Zodiac Trio, on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 8 p.m. The performance will take place in the Distler Performance Hall at the Perry and Marty Granoff Music Center, and will feature new works for clarinet, violin, and piano, including premiers by Ofer Ben-Amots, David Colson, Andrew List, and John McDonald. The Zodiac Trio is comprised of clarinetist Kliment Krylovskiy, violinist Vanessa Mollard, and pianist Riko Higuma.
