‘Seed Swap’ at Farmers Market Feb. 21 & 28

The frigid air outside begs to differ, but spring it just around the corner, and the Medford Farmers Market is helping those with a green thumb prepare.
Stop by the market in its final two weeks, February 21 and February 28, to participate in an old-fashioned “seed swap.”
Get more variety for your garden without spending a dime! Simply bring some seeds to the market and swap them with others.
Market organizers say any seeds will do- for vegetables, fruit, flowers, or herbs. According to market volunteer Syrah McGivern, envelopes will be provided for splitting seed packets for those who don’t need a whole one or who want to share. There will also be donations from Mahoney’s Garden Center, Medford’s own Rootdown Hydroponics, and the Somerville Community Growing Center, so there should be plenty of seeds to go around.
The winter market is in its final two weeks. It is taking place on Thursday, February 21, and Thursday, February 28 from 3-7PM in the underground parking garage of the Hyatt Hotel in Medford Square (116 Riverside Avenue).
