Medford Man Charged in Bank Burglary

A Medford man was charged in federal court with bank burglary, according to information released by the FBI.
Terry K. Leigh, 43 was charged in a criminal complaint with bank burglary. According to the FBI, agents caught Leigh allegedly breaking into a Bank of America ATM on Columbus Avenue in Boston in August 2012. Around 10PM on August 11, 2012, agents saw Leigh enter the bank’s ATM wearing a dark green hat and fake beard while carrying a messenger-style bag. The agents witnessed Leigh allegedly use a tool to break into the ATM’s internal room. He was later located and arrested on the roof of the building.
A detention hearing is scheduled before United States Magistrate Judge Marianne B. Bowler on April 18.
Leigh faces up to twenty years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
