Community Pays Respects to Krystle Campbell, Other Boston Marathon Bombing Victims
|One week after two bombs went off at the Boston Marathon, killing three and injuring scores of others, the Medford community came together to honor one of its own, Krystle Campbell, and other victims.
Campbell’s funeral mass was held at Saint Joseph’s Church in Medford Square on Monday. Dozens of media and onlookers gathered on High Street in front of the library.
The city unfurled its 45 by 90 foot American flag across the front of City Hall, where it was to remain until dusk on Monday.
“The American Flag symbolizes respect for all of the victims. It helps to bring people together and highlights the fact that we are strong and our flag will always fly freely and boldly,” Medford Mayor Michael McGlynn.
