Medford Youth Girls Softball Opens Season

Medford Youth Girls Softball (MYGS) held its opening day celebration on April 28 at Tufts Park on Main Street. The celebration to kick off the 2013 spring season included raffles, entertainment, food and drinks, and face painting. After the opening ceremony, 250 girls ages 5 to 15 played throughout the afternoon on the four diamonds. Above, some of the players unfurl the American flag for the National Anthem.
