Sierra, Cat of the Month I have had a long journey trying to find that permanent home and the love I deserve. I am about 4 years old now, a Maine-coon-mix, and male. I was born in a house with 200 other cats. I was rescued from there and lived in a foster home for about a year being socialized and I did start to come out of my shell. Then I was moved to another foster home for 8 months. In this last foster home I thrived. I did hide under the bed for the first 3 months, then I started coming out and by month 6, I was coming to my foster mom to be petted and would take naps on her and next to her. I was hard to adopt even though I am beautiful and sweet, as I was scared of strangers and therefore could not attend adoption events, though I did do great at the vet.
Finally I got a home. I had a wonderful feline playmate and a new human to fall in love with. It has not worked out, however. My feline friend passed away last week and my human can no longer care for me. I am now looking for people that can love me and keep me forever. I am not good with change, as I find it scary. I will be shy at first and will probably hide until I know I can trust you. I do need other felines in my life, a quiet household, and a gentle, soft-spoken human. I have a ton of love to give and I need a chance to thrive once again. I need someone to love me forever and do it blindly, as I am shy once again without my feline friend. Please, give me a forever home and mean it!

My name is Billy and I’m a sweet, sweet 7-year-old cat. I love to be petted and like to be near people. I’ll flop on my side with my toes against you, occasionally headbutting you if you forget to keep the skritching coming. I don’t try to scratch or bite, even when I get belly rubs. I really just want to lie around and be loved.

Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Available to Income-Eligible Medford and Everett Residents – Ends May 25
As part of Kitty Connection’s MRFRS mentoring grant, we will provide low-cost spay/neuter for owned cats to income-eligible Medford and Everett residents. For $50, we will have your cat spayed or neutered, examined by a vet, and vaccinated. We will pick up your cat and return it to you. Individuals must preregister and prepay. Please call our main line at 781-393-9995 and ask for Maureen Murray.
This project ends when funds are depleted or by May 25. Contact us if you need low-cost spaying or neutering.
Grant Aids Kitty Connection’s Trap/Neuter/Return Efforts
We are excited to announce that Kitty Connection has been chosen to receive a mentoring grant from Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society (MRFRS), administered through the PetSmart Charities. This grant will allow us to to trap, neuter, and return outside roaming cats in the cities of Medford and Everett.
