Mustang Baseball Team Tops Cambridge

The Medford High School baseball team earned a key Greater Boston League win over Cambridge on Wednesday.

The Mustangs defeated the Falcons, 4-3, on the road.

Pitcher Ryan Covelle got the win on the mound while John Lavoie earned the save.

Senior captain Jake Porrazzo helped lead his team to victory, breaking a 2-2 tie with his third home run in four games.

Medford is 11-3 overall and 5-1 in the Greater Boston League. The Mustangs have already secured a spot in the state tournament.

Medford is on the road against Malden on Thursday for a make up game. The next home game is against Everett on Monday, May 15 at 4PM at Playstead Park.
