3 Upcoming Events in Memory of Krystle Campbell
|Three local events are taking place in memory of Medford’s Krystle Campbell, who was tragically killed in the Boston Marathon bombing.
On Thursday, May 30 the Krystle M. Campbell Memorial Fundraiser is taking place from 5-11PM at the Irish American Club in Malden. The donation is $15 for one ticket or $25 per couple.
“Krystle Campbell was an innocent victim of the Boston Marathon bombing. She is loved by her family, friends, and everyone who came in contact with her. Her kind soul and heart of gold will be remembered by all,” said a flier submitted by Lisa O’Leary.
The fundraiser is open to all to attend. The proceeds will go to the Krystle M. Campbell Memorial Fund. For more information call Lisa at 617-331-5711 or Colleen at 781-866-6021.
On Saturday, June 1 the Medford Police are hosting a charity event to benefit the Krystle Campbell Scholarship Fund at Medford High School. Starting at 6:00PM, the Medford Police Department will be playing a charity hockey game against the Beverly Police Department at the O’Keefe Rink in Peabody.
After the game there will be a fundraiser and benefit at the Spotlight Tavern in Beverly. Tickets can be purchased for $20 in advance and it will include entrance to the hockey game and benefit (children can attend the game for free). The benefit following the game is a 21+ event and will feature live bands, raffles, and much more!

On Sunday, June 23 Jack Dempsey and Allison Goldsberry of the Medford Public Schools are organizing a Walk for Krystle that will benefit her scholarship fund. The walk is taking place from 6:00AM to 6:00PM at Hormel Stadium in Medford. Participants can walk or run the track for as long as they want. All donations are welcome.
