Mustang Softball, Baseball Teams Open State Tournament at Home

Both the Medford High School girls varsity softball team and boys varsity baseball team will open up their state tournament runs at home.
On Thursday the Lady Mustangs will host Greater Boston League rival Malden, whom Medford defeated twice during the regular season.
Medford, 11-9, is seeded sixteenth out of twenty-three teams in North Division 1 while the Golden Tornadoes have the same record and are seeded seventeenth.
Their game will take place on Thursday, May 30 at 3:30PM at Tufts Park.
The winner will advance to face top seed Concord-Carlisle (19-1) on Saturday, June 1.
The Mustang baseball team, 17-3, is the second seed in North Division 1. They have a bye in the preliminary round and will face the winner of the Boston Latin/Haverhill game. Medford hosts their first state tournament game at 4:00PM on Saturday, June 1 at Playstead Park.
