Medford Student Wins 3rd Place in MWRA Poster Contest

Gerry Pellegrini, a sixth-grader at the McGlynn School, has won third place in MWRA’s Annual Poster Contest.

Students from across the MWRA service area were challenged to create posters, essays and short videos to promote the benefits of tap water over bottled. Over 4,000 students entered this year.

All of the winning posters and essays are online and on display at the Metropolitan Waterworks Museum through the July 4th weekend and the videos are posted on MWRA’s YouTube page.

The MWRA honored the winning students, their teachers and families at an awards ceremony held at the Deer Island Wastewater Treatment Plant on Friday, May 24.
