Legion Baseball Team Remains at Top of Division

The Medford Post 45 baseball team remains in first place in its division following a 5-3 home win over Chelmsford on Tuesday.
John Lavoie (Medford High School) got the win on the mound. He pitched a complete game, striking out six and giving up just one earned run and four hits. Lavoie was also 1-2 with a run scored, according to coach Ryan Kozul.
Dave Center (MHS) tied things up with an RBI double in the fifth inning. Fellow Mustang Jake Porrazzo followed up with the game-winning hit with two outs in the bottom of the sixth.
Arlington Catholic’s Tim Conroy contributed an RBI while Kyle Boudrias, also of AC, had an an RBI and run scored.
Medford is off for the holiday and is back in action on Sunday for a repeat match up with Chelmsford, this time on the road. The team is back at home on Wednesday against Watertown.
