Japanese Students from Sister City Visit with Mayor

Last week Mayor Michael McGlynn visited with students from Medford’s sister city of Nobeoka, Japan. The students are hosted by the Medford Rotary Club. Medford and Nobeoka have been sister cities for over 30 years. Last year, Nobeoka hosted Medford students. Misa Kaji and Izumi Ono are the student visitors this year from Nobeoka. They presented gifts to Mayor McGlynn, talked baseball, and Mayor McGlynn presented them with Medford Mustang T-shirts and baseball hats, according to information release by the Mayor’s office.
