Author of Book Adapted to TV in Medford Thursday

Author Jason Mott will hold a book signing at Bestsellers Cafe in Medford on Thursday, according to information released by a publicist.

Mott’s debut novel, The Returned, has been adapted for TV and will premiere on ABC in March 2014. The novel was adapted by ABC Studios in association with Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment and Brillstein Entertainment Partners for the ABC television drama series “Resurrection.”

Mott said a dream about his mother coming back from the dead to give him advice turned into The Returned. The Returned “is a story about a global event in which peoples’ loved ones who have passed away have suddenly begun returning.” The story revolves around a couple who, decades after their young son drowned, find him standing on their doorstep.

Mott’s book signing event at Bestsellers begins at 6:30PM on Thursday.
