Double Victories for AC Girls, Boys Cross Country Teams

Both the Arlington Catholic girls and boys cross country teams won impressive victories over Bishop Fenwick and Lowell Catholic on Tuesday afternoon at Menotomy Rocks Park in Arlington.
The Lady Cougars were led by senior captain Kaitlin McCauley of Watertown, who after placing a close third in 20:49, was followed by AC runners in the next five slots. Freshman Veronica Seguin (Bedford, 21:21), freshman Alexandria Kay (Melrose, 21:53), junior Kathleen McLaughlin (Waltham, 22:20), senior captains Olivia Liberti (Medford, 22:32), senior captain Olivia Stewart (Medford, 22:59), junior Grace Zukowski (Woburn), Olivia Bowman (Melrose), and Giulianna O’Connell (Stoneham) all ran well for the Lady Cougars, said Head Coach Jack Dempsey.
The girls improved their record to 4-0 while the boys are currently 3-1.
Senior captain Allen Judd (Burlington) was the overall winner in 19:11. He was followed by sophomore Mike Vendetti (Lexington, 19:16), senior captain Sebastian Bissereth (Somerville, 19:47), senior captain Nick Canniff (Arlington, 19:59), Mike Kumar (Medford, 20:45) and sophomore Conor Walsh (Billerica, 21:31). Senior Kevin Hyacintre of Burlington and freshman James Condero of Woburn also ran well for the Cougars.
The AC squads will be competing in the Bay State Invitational this weekend in Wrentham.
