A Medford man has been arrested and arraigned for allegedly possessing images of child pornography, according to information released by Attorney General Martha Coakley’s Office.
Yarami Marcano, age 31, is charged with Possession of Child Pornography. Marcano was arrested Wednesday night at his home in Medford.
He was arraigned on Thursday in Somerville District Court. Marcano pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was released on personal recognizance with the conditions that he remain on house arrest, be monitored by GPS, surrender his passport, stay in Massachusetts, have only supervised access to the internet, and have no contact with any child under eighteen.
Investigators became aware of a computer linked to a Medford home that they believed to possess images of child pornography in July. State Police obtained a search warrant and executed it on Wednesday night after discovering that Marcano allegedly possessed the illegal images.
Marcano is due back in court on November 18 for a pre-trial conference.
