3 Republicans, 7 Democrats Seek Party’s Nomination for Congress

On Tuesday, October 15 voters will head to the polls to narrow down the field of candidates running for Congress.

A total of ten candidates are running for former Congressman Ed Markey’s seat, three Republicans and seven Democrats.

Following the primary only two candidates will continue in the race for Congress, one Democrat and one Republican.

The following candidates are running for Congress:

Frank Addivinola, Republican
Mike Stopa, Republican
Tom Tierney, Republican
William Brownsberger, State Senator, Democrat
Katherine Clark, State Senator, Democrat
Peter Koutoujian, Middlesex Sheriff, Democrat
Martin Long, Democrat
Paul John Maisano, Democrat
Carl Sciortino, State Representative, Democrat
Karen Spilka, State Senator, Democrat

On Tuesday, October 15 the polls will open in Medford at 7AM and close at 8PM. Voters unsure of where to vote can simply enter their address on the Secretary of State’s website.
