Lady Mustang Hockey Team Beats Winthrop for 1st Time in Team History
|For the first time in program history the Medford High girls varsity hockey team beat Winthrop. The Mustangs, in their 10th season, topped Winthrop, 2-1, on home ice on Saturday. Medford’s three captains, Brittani Lanzilli, Adrienne Porrazzo, and Marissa Williams led the offense, according to Assistant Coach Josh Glionna. Lanzilli and Williams both scored a goal and Porrazzo had two assists. Mustang freshman goalie Trisha MacLean made 25 saves, including many in the final few minutes.
