Winthrop Street will be partially closed for about a week beginning on Monday, June 9, according to information released by the city.
The section of Winthrop Street between Lawrence Road and the rotary will be closed to southbound traffic all week from 7AM to 4PM. The closure will be in place through Friday, June 13, according to Medford Police.
Winthrop Street residents will only be able to travel north when leaving their driveways. Residents will also be notified when the contractor will be excavating in front of their driveways, according to a notice.
Detours will be in place at Playstead Road and Lawrence Road.
The partial closure is expected to last a week. Questions can be directed toward questions the City’s field engineer, Mr. Louis Scalise, at 617-834-1364.
Ongoing construction has also caused detours around the rotary. Those detours, in place since the beginning of April, are expected to last about two months and are near their conclusion.
