Medford Arts Council Announces 2015 Grant Cycle

Do you have a great idea for sharing your creative talents with others in Medford? Are you interested in creating opportunities for Medford residents to experience and learn from programs, events, installations, or exhibits that showcase excellence, innovation, and diversity in the arts and humanities? Does your organization have a targeted need for supplemental funds that would help it to enhance the vibrancy of Medford’s creative economy or to expand access for members of the Medford community to the region’s amazing cultural resources?

The Medford Arts Council would love to hear from you, and is now accepting grant applications for the 2015 funding cycle. All applications must be postmarked by Wednesday, October 15, 2014.

Through our competitive grant program, the Council funds individuals, community groups, schools, and non-profit organizations for projects that bring music, dance, theater, film/video, visual arts, literature, history, cultural heritage and more to audiences of all ages in Medford. Thousands of area residents have enjoyed recent projects supported in part by our grants—from ongoing popular events such as the West Medford Open Studios and Circle the Square, to school-based performances for children and families, to innovative public art in traditional and non-traditional media.

Visit the Council’s Web site at http://www.medfordartscouncil.org/ for guidelines, application forms, and information on projects that have received grants.

The Medford Arts Council is a local agency of volunteers funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, and the City of Medford. We strive to promote excellence, access to education, and diversity in the arts and humanities through our grant program, advocacy efforts, and sponsored initiatives, and are proud to be contributing to the success of a great range of local cultural programming.
