Thanksgiving Victory!
|Updated 2:59PM Friday, November 28, 2014
Medford handily defeated Malden 36-12 in the 127th Thanksgiving Day game. Jose Lopes and Myles Olivier both scored two touchdowns while Corey Moore and quarterback Adrien Pineda each made it into the end zone. Medford scored first and Malden tied the game in the first quarter, but the Mustangs led 24-12 at the half and never looked back. Matt Sullivan and Anthony DeRienzo led a relentless defense that stopped the Golden Tornadoes and gave Medford time to dominate the passing game. The Thanksgiving win is Medford’s first since 2006, which is a year that also featured some snow on the field, although not nearly as much as this year.
