Green Line Announcement Planned for Monday

On Monday high-ranking state and federal officials will gather to make a funding announcement about the Green Line extension project, according to a MassDOT email and information from state officials.

The event is being held to formally announce $1 billion in federal funding for the project.

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and US Department of Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx will meet with US Senators Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey and US Representatives Michael Capuano and Katherine Clarke for the announcement.

All are welcome to attend the event, which is taking place at 3:00PM at Somerville High School’s auditorium.
