A Blizzard Watch is in effect from Monday night through early Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Heavy snow and strong winds could bring nearly three feet of snow. The worst of the storm is expected to occur between Monday night and Tuesday afternoon, according to the latest forecast.
Locally, Medford could receive another nineteen to twenty-nine inches of snow on top of the few inches that resulted from Saturday’s storm.
The Medford Public Schools are closed on Tuesday. Medford City Hall is also closed.
A snow emergency will begin in Medford at 5PM on Monday. During snow emergencies, there is no parking on main roads and parking on side streets is restricted to the even side. Governor Charlie Baker has also declared a state of emergency and issued a travel ban for non-essential travel on Tuesday.
More details about the city’s snow emergency and other important updates are available on the city’s website.
